Recovery With a
At Princeton Detox & Recovery Center, our goal is to provide our clients with a viable path to recovery. That path is different for everyone and we don’t expect our clients to go it alone. Each client is assigned a case manager who is responsible for coordinating care around the needs of the client and making sure their recovery is going according to plan. In other words, the client centered approach case management helps a client stay on course.
The Role of the
Entering an addiction recovery program is often overwhelming for clients and their families. A case manager helps to eliminate stress and confusion by acting as a primary point of contact as they coordinate and manage a client’s care to ensure they receive the help they need.
Case managers come to know their clients very well and have a deep understanding of their needs and strengths. They serve as allies, role models, advocates and guides who:
- Coordinate care by working with the rest of the Princeton Detox & Recovery Center team to ensure that each client is getting the right combination of addiction services, therapies and programs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for family members.
- Organize recreational activities.
- Plan for aftercare.
Recovery is challenging, and it’s the case manager’s top priority to make sure their client is on the right path. The case manager guides a client as he or she navigates the addiction treatment process until they’re able to navigate it on their own.
A Sustainable Plan
Goal-setting is an important part of recovery, and case managers help clients achieve their goals. Eventually, a client will have to re-enter the real world, which can be a difficult transition. Case managers at Princeton Detox & Recovery Center help clients prepare for a successful transition by helping them with everything from putting together a resume and helping them rejoin the workforce, to finding safe, reliable sober housing, to learning how to make a budget.
At Princeton Detox & Recovery Center, we operate under the understanding that every client is different. Everyone has a different story, personality and set of goals. Case managers provide a sense of relief for clients and their families, who can rest assured knowing that they have someone in their corner who is expertly coordinating care just for them.
