Clinical & Medical Assessment
The path to recovery is different for every client, which is why upon admission, we conduct a comprehensive clinical and medical assessment of each client and tailor a treatment and recovery plan that meets their needs. Our assessment process has three components:
- Medical evaluation
- Psychosocial evaluation
- Physical evaluation
Understanding a client’s history of substance use, physical health, mental health and family history, among other factors, helps us design an individualized treatment plan that accounts for all aspects of a client’s health and well-being.
One indicator of a quality addiction recovery program is that it incorporates a range of therapeutic modalities. At Princeton Detox & Recovery Center, we rely on several types of therapy that help lay the foundation for a lasting recovery, which include:
- Individualized therapy
- Group therapy
- Family therapy
Therapy is a highly versatile treatment modality that helps clients:
- Gain an understanding of the disease of addiction
- Learn healthy, practical ways to manage stress
- Improve relationships with yourself and others
- Build a stronger sense of accountability and self-esteem
- Stay motivated to remain drug-free
- Improve coping skills in high-stress, high-risk situations after treatment
Entering treatment is often an overwhelming time for clients and their families. With Princeton Detox & Recovery Center, no one has to go on this journey alone. We assign a case manager to each client who guides the client through recovery and and helps them prepare for life after treatment.
A case manager is an advocate and a mentor. During what is often a trying time, it’s extremely reassuring to know that there is someone on your side with your best interests in mind. Our case managers partner with you every step of the way and works to ensure a smooth transition into life after treatment.
The transition into everyday life can be a challenging one, which is why we put a great deal of care into preparing a viable aftercare plan that lays out clear-cut instructions and resources on what a client needs to do to stay sober and experience a long-term recovery.
Luckily, Princeton Detox & Recovery Center clients spend a lot of time preparing for life after treatment by participating in various therapies and programs and working with a case manager. With an individualized post-treatment plan that addresses a client’s unique needs, recovery is absolutely possible.
